Le Miserables review
Le miserables, is an interesting movie in my case because i love classical music and this being a musical had tons of it; the music writer did an amazing job of grasping the feeling of the movie with music and the lyrics are just the same. But music is just notes on a pice of paper it takes singers to bring those words to life and the director did a fantastic job on getting hugh jackman, ann hathaway, russel crow, and amanda setfird for this movie all there voices were unique and amazing for there parts and really gave feeling to what they sang. The setting was 1800’s when the french war was happening and the director did an amazing job on showing the high society and the down right poor and well as the costumes and make-up giving the sense that we were there the story it self goes of a man who stole to make save his sister’s son from hunger, got caught became a slave, escaped and lived a life running from the general who made it his aspiration to catch him and bring him to justice, along the way the main character jean valjean meets up with a women who is desperately trying to get money from prostitution, hair cutting, and teeth pulling after being kicked out of her old job to support her only daughter who is being kept at an old inn with pick-pocketing inn keepers. Jean rescues the woman’s daughter named cosette and takes her on his run from the law for nine years where they met a town who revolts against the army and goes to war and then cosettes meets the love of her life jean protects the boy so he can be with her everyone else dies but they survive and they both get married. Ah but that’s not the end of it the movie goes on with the married couple looking for jean who ran after there wedding to a chapel where he see’s the ghost of woman’s daughter who had died and then he dies and sing all happy at the end, nice but that story drags on for 2 hours and 45 minutes kinda long but whatever and also this movie has q pg-13 rating for a reason so don’t take any small children if they aren’t ready to see some naughty things. All in all its a great movie if you love music and have ALOT of patients but if you don’t have that pass this movie off and go see some other movie where people kill each other without them singing to each other first it deserves it two awards and it should be a great classic wasn’t for its dragging story telling.
Rise of the guardians review
O my gosh, wow this movie is amazing in my standards I love animated movie and fairytales so when I saw the trailer for this movie I had high hopes for it and it excited my expectations up and beyond. The idea that the sandman, tooth fairy, the Easter bunny, Santa, and Jack frost are the guardian’s of kids hopes and dreams was fantastic just as well that pitch black(a.k.a the boogeyman) is the evil man of fear and nightmares. The animation was visually stunning all the lights and colors that the sandman made to make children’s dreams were awestruck and the and even though the sandman was silent the whole movie the way he used is dream dust to talk and show emotions was very cool. But the voice actors stole the whole show Chris pine, Alec Baldwin, Jude law, Isla Fisher, and Hugh jackman all did an amazing job bring there characters to life I love how Santa had a big macho Russian accent and the Easter bunny had a cool Australian accent, and how all the characters interacted with each other was funny as well. This movie is filled with visual gags that are hilarious and has lots of other kinds of references to the biggest one being the man on the moon the man on the moon was apparently the one who choose all those characters to be guardians he chose there destinys and I found that odd, and I really wanted more explanation on why he is the big man for these characters but they did not so it leaves me to wonder. If you have small children I highly recommend you take them to see this movie in fact all ages will love this movie if you still have that inner child, it’s a fun imaginative movie that everyone should see so you can believe again to all these characters and make your imagination runs free.
